Our Story
GlampingPods.ie was founded in the coastal village of Greencastle, Co. Donegal, with a simple idea: to create comfortable, well-crafted spaces that bring people closer to Ireland's natural beauty.
In 2015, our founder, Charlie McHenry, saw the growing need for sustainable, design-led alternatives to traditional accommodation. Drawing on his skills in craftsmanship and his deep appreciation for Ireland's landscapes, he built the very first GlampingPods.ie prototype. The response was immediate and encouraging, setting our family-run business on a path to where we are today.
From those early beginnings, GlampingPods.ie has grown to become a trusted provider of luxury pods across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Though we've expanded, we've retained the personal touch of a family business.
